Farmhouse. C18, perhaps with earlier core; altered. Red brick
in Flemish bond on sandstone plinth, with hipped (possibly
imitation) stone slate roof. L-plan formed by double-depth
front block with rear wing. Two storeys and 3 windows,
symmetrical, with a high chamfered stone plinth; a large
square-headed doorway with plain surround and restored
panelled door with 10-pane overlight; restored unhorned
16-pane sashed windows (now double-glazed), those at ground
floor with flat-arched heads of gauged brick and those at 1st
floor segmental-headed. C20 moulded wooden eaves cornice.
Chimneys on side ridges. Sides and rear similar. INTERIOR
understood to have "wide oak staircase up to roof level, good
oak beams and some original floors".
