and ancient wall at rear

GV II

Shop, former house. C16 and C19. Rebuilt Flemish bond red
brickwork and gabled roof of C20 concrete interlocking tiles.
2 storeys with gable end stack at NE flank. Front has C20
double-hung sash windows with small panes over C19 shop front
with simple pilasters and console stops at each end of fascia.
INTERIOR: central spine beam with quadrant moulding and
timber-framed 2-storey rear block of late C16 with spine beam
carried on jowled post at ground-floor level. SUBSIDIARY
FEATURES: ancient septaria wall in rear yard, with upper part
in C17 red brick, abuts and appears integral with NE flank
wall. C20 black boarded 2-storey rear extension.
