DEWLISH

SY 79 NE SCHOOL LANE

5/65 Sarah's Cottage

Detached house, apparently once 4 cottages. Late C18-early C19. Plastered
cob walls on flint and brick base. Hipped thatched roof; 2 brick stacks set
in from ends. 2 storeys. At right angles to road. In east front, C20
glazed door under flat hood on brackets. Ground floor has 4 casements with
glazing bars. First floor has 4 casements, 3 with glazing bars one with
some lead lights. Internally, one ground floor room has large open
fireplace with timber lintel and bread oven. Some exposed ceiling beams.
