Low Woodside Farmhouse

II


Farmhouse of late C17 date refronted later C19. Frnt of dresed watershot stone,
otherwise of rubble with stone slate roof. Two storeys. Front is of 2 bays with
2-light unmoulded windows. Plain doorway with modern door. Right hand gable end has
small blocked round headed opening and formerly had a triangular headed chamfered
doorway which is now inside. At rear near ground is one 2-light double chamfered
stone mullion window and the reveals of another which is blocked. An outshut of 2
storeys is not bonded in. Two chimneys.
Inside in right hand room are 2 pieced oak beams, and 3 chamfered stone doorways (one
formerly external) one with an old plank door to pantry.
