5/201 Horse gin house at Park Farm

II
Horse gin house, adapted as cart shed or garage, now store. Probably late C18 or
early C19; altered. Uncoursed killas rubble walls, granite posts, scantle slate
roof. Circular plan, tangentially attached to rear wall of barn. Single storey; the
front half formerly had a wide opening with a central post in the left and right-
hand quadrants, but that to the left is now mostly blocked with concrete, and
that to the right has been altered to widen its right-hand opening, the left
opening being mostly blocked, and the eave of the roof has been stepped up over
most of the opening. Conical roof with copper cap and ball finial. Interior: large
beam on the diameter to support the roof structure; hole through rear wall to
carry drive for threshing machinery in barn, a doorway above this.
