of the Old Cellars
GV II
Fish (pilchard) cellars used as net lofts. Circa late C18 with earlier wing to
south. Outer walls of large rubble stones (unpointed). Sloping corrugated roof.
Arranged in square around open courtyard. Originally open arcade on ground floor
supported on square granite monolits. First floor enclosed. Ground and first
floor now completely enclosed by corrugated panels. First in line of 3 fish
(pilchard) cellars. Other 2 altered. Included for group value.
