House. Circa 1600, extended in C18. Timber framed, with brick facade, all
plastered, roofed with handmade red clay tiles. 4 bays facing W, with internal
stack against rear wall. C18 one-bay extension at right end, with external end
stack. C18/C19 full-length lean-to extension of 2 storeys at rear. 2 storeys.
5-window range of early C19 sashes of 16 lights, and one C20 octagonal window on
ground floor. C20 door with flat canopy on brackets. Jowled posts in main
building, unjowled in right extension. Chamfered axial beams, with lamb's
tongue stops (boxed in left bay), plain joists of vertical section. In rear
wall of ground floor, original window with 3 widely-spaced diamond mullions, now
enclosed by rear extension. Blocked original window to rear of first floor,
possibly with mullion in situ.
