SX 36 NE CALLINGTON

8/12 Coach House and stable block
lOm to north east of Pencrebar
House

Coach house and stable block now used as store. Circa mid C19 possibly reusing some
earlier stonework from the demolished manor house of Creba. Rubblestone with large
granite quoins and granite dressings. Slate roof with gable ends and gable to front.
Square in plan, arranged around an open courtyard. West front with central
projecting gabled entrance, set slightly forward. Chamfered granite 4-centred arch
with key block and ashlar abutments. Flanking walls of entrance in dressed granite.
Double timber doors. Rubblestone above arch with rectangular opening with louvers.
Plain bargeboards. Included for group value with Pencrebar House (qv).
