Includes No 1 Wolverton Road. Dated 1844. 2 storeys; 3 bays, centre with pediment
on wide piers, tympanum flush with piers, and containing blind circular panel with
legend 'British School 1844. Yellow brick. Shallow slate roof with moulded eaves
cornice. 2-3-2 round headed casement windows on 1st floor with radiating glazing
in heads and common sills on brackets. Inserted central window on ground floor.
Doors at sides in arched recesses with fanlights in stilted arches. Curved corner
and return to Wolverton Road [No 1 Wolverton Road] continues roof line. Painted
red brick. 3 round headed casement windows with radiating glazing in heads on
1st floor to right. Common cills on brackets. Cambered heads to entrance and
large ground floor window.

The public Hall and Nos 2 to 24 (even), 24a, 26, and 28 form a group of which
Nos 14, 16, and 20 are of local interest.
