House, garden railings and gate. Early C19, possibly a remodelling of an earlier
house. Colourwashed and rendered ; slate roof, hipped at ends ; left end stack.
Plan: On a critical site at the junction of Fore and Clanage streets, facing down
Fore Street. Double depth plan, 2 rooms wide with an entrance to right of centre,
probably into a stair hall.
Exterior: 2 storeys. Asymmetrical 4-bay front with regular fenestration and front
door to right of centre. Pretty verandah on 4 posts with a slate roof and solid end
walls with round-headed niches, a typical local feature of early C19 houses.
Panelled C19 front door, the top panels glazed ; 3 French windows with glazing bars
and margin panes ; other windows 2-light C19 casements with small panes. Low garden
walls in front with iron railings with spear finials, and garden gate flanked by
square section piers with pyramidal caps are included in the listing.
