Old Manor Farm Farmhouse

Farmhouse. c1600 and mid C17. Timber framed and painted
roughcast, stone gable walls, thatched roof. Two storeys, T-plan
comprising an earlier block of living room, cross passage and
kitchen, to which is added an east wing containing an entrance
lobby and stair, and parlour. Framing 3 panels high with heavy
bressumer and straight corner braces. Wing is 4 panels high
without corner braces. Brick noggings. Entrance in porch
overlooking farmyard. Partly glazed door. Paned timber windows.
Interior has two parallel longitudinal beams with scoop and check
stops and chamfered joists. Gable stack to living room with
timber lintel, part rebuilt. Kitchen at west end has added
external stack. Forward wing also has two parallel chamfered
beams with run-out chamfer stops and a blocked stack in stone
gable.
