GV II

Dyeworks and attached workshop and warehouse. Early C19. Red
brick, English and random bond with slate roofs and ashlar
coped gables.
Dyeworks: 3-bay, 4-storey street front has large central
round-headed doorway with double plank doors flanked by single
casements. Above upper 2 floors each have a central loft
doorway with plank doors flanked by single glazing-bar
windows, above 3 glazing-bar windows.
INTERIOR: shallow brick vaults supported on cast-iron columns.
To left a 2-storey workshop with cart entrance with double
plank doors and to the left a stable door with overlight.
Above a loft door and a single casement.
Beyond to the left a warehouse: 3 bays, 3 storeys plus garret.
Gabled street front has central doorway with double plank
doors, with to the right an iron-framed glazing-bar window
flanked by small square openings, blocked window to left and
C20 inserted frame. Above each of the upper floors has a
central loft doorway with double plank doors flanked by single
iron-frame windows. Blind round-headed opening in gable.
