Stables. C. 1895, converted to upholstery works mid C20. By A.F. Scott. Red brick laid in Flemish bond with moulded brick decoration; machine tile roof.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys; 3-window range. Symmetrical east front with projecting central bay terminating in shaped gable. Ground floor of projection with mid C20 brick porch. To right is one 5-light mullioned timber casement; to left one 3-light and one 2-light mullioned timber casement, and a boarded window to extreme left. Moulded platband between floors with band of rosettes. Panel of sunflowers and leaves in moulded brick over porch, beneath a 6-light mullioned casement window set in an arched recess. Outer first-floor windows of 4-lights, within corbelled projections rising to shaped gables and arched niches. All window niches with interlocking brick nogging in tympana.
Platband continues into north return: double timber doors to ground floor. Mid C20 concrete external staircase to first-floor loading door. Shaped gable end containing circular recess decorated with sunflowers and leaves arranged in a stepped diamond field.
South return with shaped gable containing pigeon nesting boxes in 5 tiers: one to the top tier, 5 to the bottom. Moulded brick perches to each nest box.
INTERIOR: partitioned for offices and workshops.
