Terrace of 4 houses. 1807. For Mrs Hopton, daughter of Mr
Benjamin Satchwell. Reddish-brown brick in Flemish bond with
dressings of red rubbed brick and Welsh slate roof.
3 storeys, 6 first-floor windows, the 2nd and 4th windows are
shared between each house. First floor: 6/6 sash, a pair of
2/2 sashes, two 6/6 sashes, a pair of 2/2 sashes, 6/6 sash.
Second floor: 3/3 sash, pair of 2/2 sashes, two 3/3 sashes,
pair of 2/2 sashes, 3/3 sash. All windows in plain reveals
with sills and flat arches. Ground floor: paired entrances:
6-panel doors with fanlights with decorative glazing bars, in
round-arched surrounds. Otherwise 6/6 sashes in plain reveals
with sills and cambered arches. Tall central and end stacks
with cornices. 'SATCHWELL PLACE' painted to front, centre.
INTERIOR: No.3 has dogleg staircase with stick balusters and
turned newel post, otherwise not inspected.
