GV II

Dovecote. C17 with later alterations. Regular coursed
limestone rubble with brick repairs and gables in Flemish
stretcher bond; old tile roof with ashlar-coped gables. Square
plan.
EXTERIOR: west elevation has small opening with timber lintel
over plank door. Left return has entrance with brick reveals
and timber lintel over plank door; small patch of ironstone;
gable has blocked segmental-headed window, as has right
return. Rear has C18 brick patching and entrance with split
stable door. Rebuilt louvre to ridge.
INTERIOR: has walls and gables lined with nesting recesses and
stone ledges; heavy tie beam truss with raking struts and
double purlins.
