GV II

Estate office. Late C19 for Lord Zetland. Coursed squared
sandstone with ashlar dressings; roof of plain tiles with
stone chimney and gable copings. Vernacular Revival style.
EXTERIOR: single storey, 2-window range. Central gabled porch
has door with 2 panels and 2 glazed top panels in
double-chamfered surround with broach stops and labelmould.
Blank shield in gable peak; block kneelers to chamfered gable
coping. Chamfered surrounds and mullion to 2-light windows
flanking porch under deep eaves with exposed rafter ends.
Steep roof has central corniced chimney with plinth string and
squat tapered yellow pots. Returns have 4-light mullion and
transom windows.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
Part of the significant group of buildings around Marske Hall
(qv). Included for group value.
