House now flats. Probably mid C18 with alterations and mid C19
range to rear. Pinkish-red brick in English Garden Wall bond
with hipped plain tile roof; large, partly-rebuilt stacks at
left and right to hips. Double depth plan with central
entrance. 2 storeys with attics, 3 first-floor windows.
Plinth. Outer 3-light, transomed replacement timber casement
windows with similar central 2-light window, all under
cambered arches. Central entrance, flight of steps to 6-panel
door, lower flush panels, upper raised and fielded panels,
with divided overlight and hood. Modillion eaves band. 3
gabled attic roof dormers have casement windows. Windows to
right return under elliptical arches.
INTERIOR: noted as retaining oak stair with turned balusters,
to full height.
HISTORIC NOTE: built on moated site.
