House, abutting No.18. c1830-40 with later additions and
alterations. Brick with symmetrical painted-stucco facade.
Slate roof with coped parapets to gables and N elevation. 2
rear-wall stacks with oversailing details and pots. Timber
trellis porch with metal tented-roof.
PLAN: double-depth, central hallway plan, tapers to
accommodate corner site. Single-storey range to rear extended
to 2 storeys late C20.
EXTERIOR: 3 storeys and cellar. 3 first-floor windows. Stucco
detailing includes frieze, cornice, blocking course and
coping; continuous sill band to first-floor windows; four
plain pilasters, pair to ends are full-height, pair to central
bay extend from sill band to frieze. 6/6 sashes to first-floor
and right ground-floor, 3/3 sashes to second-floor, except
centre which is blind, all in plain reveals with sills. Later
bay to left ground-floor with clay-tiled hipped roof,
2/1:4/1:2/1 sashes with transomed and fixed lights above. 2
roll edged steps to 4-panel entrance door, top panels raised
and fielded, bottom pair flush-beaded, panelled reveals,
radial pattern fanlight, fluted architrave.
