House, now 2 houses. Mid C16, altered and extended C19 and
C20.
MATERIALS: timber frame encased in brick. Old tile hipped
roof.
PLAN: L-plan. Lane End has C20 2 storey rear extension. Pear
Tree Cottage has early C19 low 2 storey pent extension at
rear.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys. Tall chimney with corniced head and clay
pots externally, at each gable end. C19 casement 2-light
windows with glazing bars, segmental arched heads on ground
floor. Irregular south entrance, 3-bay windows. Gabled
entrance porch on wooden posts to left of centre. C20 half
glazed entrance door. Right bay of Pear Tree Cottage rebuilt
mid C20 in similar style after fire. Entrance to Pear Tree
Cottage on right end return.
INTERIOR: some timber frame visible on first floor. Queen post
roof with arch braces from posts to roof ties.
