Milestone. Cast iron. 1834. Triangular in section, with an arched head inscribed HESTON PARISH over the pedimented sides. These read LONDON 9 and HOUNSLOW 1.
HISTORY: This is one of a sequence of similar milestones erected at this date along the London Road, one of the principal old roads leading into the capital from the west.
