Description

Dated 1903. 2-storey and attic, 3-bay, rectangular-plan villa with lower service wing to rear. Bull-faced stugged red sandstone to ground floor front, harled elsewhere, grey slate gambrel roof. 1st floor corbelled out with further corbelled panels to outer bays of front elevation, modillioned eaves; mostly timber sash and case windows with single or 2-pane glazing to bottom and multi-pane to top, modern dormers to front and rear; stacks removed.

FRONT ELEVATION: modern out-of-character door to centre with margined doorcase and date panel above, small canted-head multi-pane window to left and right, 4-light mullioned window flanked by single vertical lights to 1st floor, modern cat-slide dormer; bay to left and right comprising recessed 3-light canted window to ground floor and piended dormer-headed window to 1st.

LEFT RETURN ELEVATION: 2 widely spaced windows to ground floor, 1 window to 1st floor left, modern window to gambrel roof.

RIGHT RETURN ELEVATION: similar to left return but with 2 windows to 1st floor.

INTERIOR: not seen.

GATEPIERS AND BOUNDARY WALLS: 2 sets of ashlar gatepiers with moulded caps, saddleback-coped rubble boundary wall.
