Description

17th cent. Oblong. Originally (1625) smaller with stair
tower at N.E. angle, and rectangular one at S.W. Extended
to E. later in century. 3 storeys. Rubble; now very
dilapidated, especially at gable-ends. Roofless. Vaulted
1st storey.

Statement of Interest

Ruin. Sir Robert Sibbald, physician, naturalist and

antiquary; inherited lands of Kipps from his mother, Margaret

Boyd, 1672.
