Description

Late 19th century. 3-storey and attic, symmetrical 7-bay tenement with shops at ground floor. Ashlar, slate mansard roof, fishscale-slated truncated pyramidal roofs (brattishing removed). Modern shopfronts to ground floor; moulded cill course to 1st and 2nd floor, string course over 1st floor lintel, moulded wallhead course with half-moon corbelled cornice, coped parapet with ball-finialled dies broken through by 3 architraved round-headed dormers with volutes and ball finials. Architraved single and bipartite sash and case windows with timber frames, out-of-character modern frames to attic. 3 centre bays slightly advanced with 3 windows to 1st and 2nd floor, slightly recessed single bays to left and right with windows to 1st and 2nd floor, slightly advanced outer bays with bipartites to 1st and 2nd floor. 2 dormers behind parapet, corniced stack, other stacks rebuilt plainly.
