Description

1867. 2-storey and attic, 4-bay house with shop and carriage pend. Squared, coursed and stugged sandstone rubble to N elevation, painted at ground. Base, band and eaves course, basket-headed openings at ground with chamfered and roll-moulded surrounds, architraved windows to 1st floor.

S (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: deep-set half-glazed door to shop at centre with mortar and pestle trade sign on wrought-iron bracket over, enlarged window to left wiht fixed pane glazing, segmental-headed carriage pend to outer left; fanlit boarded door to right of centre (entrance to house) with half-glazed vestibule door, window to outer right. 4 windows at 1st floor.

4-pane sash and case windows. Grey slate roof, mutual ashlar coped skew and coped sandstone stack to right. Two slate-hung canted, piended and finialled dormers, rooflight to left.
