History

Mid C19, replacing a structure shown on the 1844 Tithe map.

Exterior

Roughcast elevations. Slate roof. Projecting bracketed eaves. Rubble gable chimney stack to left; those to right and rear wing have been removed. Three bay front with 12-pane hornless sash windows, slate sills. Central door with 3 long panels and 4-pane overlight. Sash windows to rear wing, except those to ground floor on E side which are C20.

Rubble front court wall with whitewashed single storey outbuilding to left, forming W boundary of forecourt. Central stone gatepiers with slab tabling and decorative cast iron gate.

Reasons for Listing

Mid C19 estate farmhouse retaining its regional character and of special interest in its grouping with the adjoining barn to W.
