Gingerbread Cottage

Semi-detached pair of cottages. Probably C18. No. 57 has plastered cob walls,
thatched roof, brick stack shared with No. 58. One storey and attics. Stable
door. Ground floor has two horizontally sliding sash windows with glazing bars.
Attic has two dormers with similar sashes. Internally, main gruond floor room has
large open fireplace with timber lintel and remains of bread oven. Some exposed
ceiling beams.
No. 58 has walls of stone, brick and cob on stone base, thatched roof, brick stack
shared with No. 57. One storey and attics. Single-storey flat roofed extension at
rear. Modern glazed door. Ground floor has two horizontally sliding sash windows
with glazing bars. Attic has two dormers with similar sashes. Interior modernised.
