Cottage attached to Castle Inn, and with attached outbuilding on south. Probably
late C18. Rubble stone walls, stone slate roof, stone stack at right end of main
house. Brick stack at left, adjoining Castle Inn. 2 storeys. Gabled porch with
segmental arched opening and ledged door. Ground and first floors each have 2
casements with centre horizontal bar. At right end, attached outbuilding at
lower level, has ledged door with fanlight, and a small casement with glazing bars.
Some chamfered ceiling beams in house. (RCHM, Monument 46. Dorset. Vol. II).
