Late C18 or early C19 terrace. Each house 2 storeys and tall basement, 3 windows.
Pinkish brick. Low pitched slated roof with row of ridge stacks. Recessed sash
windows with glazing bars under stuccoed lintels (some windows altered). Some
houses now roughcast. Six-panel doors, with patterned oblong fanlights, have doorcases
of engaged fluted columns and entablature (one or two missing). Nos 159 and 161
have modern showroom front on ground floor. Others have lower floors concealed
by projecting shops. Included partly for group value.
