around old Church
12.1.67 of St. Mary


Churchyard wall, C18 or earlier. Coursed rubble with flat slab coping. Wall
c.1.2 metres high on 3 sides of rectangular churchyard; lower retaining wall
to riverbank on east. Near west end of south wall 2 monolith piers hold
wrought-iron gate with looped bars and knob-topped dogbars; stone stile
immediately to east.

In poor condition at time of survey, partly due to removal of re-set medieval
cross slabs.
