GV II


Hotel. Early Cl9 with later Cl9 additions and alterations. Pebble-dashed
brick and masonry; Welsh slate roof with rendered brick chimneys. 3-storey,
7-bay front has low rendered plinth. Carriage way, with spur stones and side
doors, runs through third bay and has raised, elliptical-arched surround,
with keystone and impost blocks, to front. 4-pane sashes with projecting
sills and stuccoed wedge lintels: ground-floor windows have external shutters;
second-floor windows are small and square. Cogged brick eaves band. Roof
has raised verges, 2 ridge and 2 end chimneys. Additions and outbuildings to
rear not of special interest. Included for group value.
