1/24 Barn approx. 10 metres
north-west of Hazeleigh

Barn. C18/early C19. Timber framed, weatherboarded, roofed with corrugated
iron, with handmade red clay tiles in the valleys. 3 bays aligned N-S, with
midstrey to E. Lean-to extensions both sides of midstrey and at S end. Pegged
and jointed frame, partly of local hardwood, partly of high quality imported
softwood. Primary straight bracing. Clasped purlin roof. Pigeon loft in roof
of midstrey. A granary on brick piers is incorporated in the SE extension.
