House, now a school. 1797 by J. Lewis, extensively remodelled circa 1814.
Brick and stucco with grey slate roofs. 2 and 3 storeys, attics and cellars.
1,4,1 window range, vertical sliding sashes with glazing bars. Central recessed
and balustraded front portico with Ionic columns. Top floor is early C19
addition. Balustrade carries through both 2 storey side wings. Owned by
Palmer family in C18.
