3/30 Barn 30 metres north of
Great Oakley Lodge


Barn. C18. Timber framed, weatherboarded, approximately half roofed with
corrugated iron, half with corrugated asbestos. 7 bays aligned approx. N-S with
midstrey to E. Lean-to extension in SE angle. Hardwood frame, jointed and
pegged. Primary straight bracing. Face-halved and bladed scarfs in wallplates.
Clasped purlin roof. The half roofed with asbestos was thatched until c.1980.
