1/26 The Labourers Rest


House, former public house. C16 and later. Timber framed and plastered with
peg tile roofs. Of 2 storeys and of 'T' plan shape. The front and north wing
have gables and rear east end is hipped. Windows are C20 small pane casements
and 2 small lean-to dormers in west side of north wing. Exposed asymmetrical
red brick stack on front gable and small stack on main ridgeline. The 2 bays at
the rear are C16, with a long external wall brace and diamond mullioned window.
The front extensions are probably C18 and the north wing is a C20 extension.
