Cottage. C17 or earlier. Timber framed and plastered. Red plain tiled roof.
Central tall red brick chimney stack. One storey and attics. Attic window to
return gables. Ground floor, 2 C19 2 light windows with transoms pentice boards
over. Central vertically boarded door, simple surround. Back to back
fireplaces, one face with original bake oven to left. Vertically boarded doors
some with original ironmongery. Original floorboards in bedrooms. Later brick
extension to rear. Believed to have been the Gamekeepers Cottage to Rochford
Hall.
