House. Mid Cl7. Brick-nogged timber framing on stone plinth,
painted brick gable to cross wing, tiled roof. 'T' plan, each
section 2 bays, rear angle infilled: cross wing 2 storeys over
cellar, main wing 2½ storeys. Front elevation, cross wing on left,
with lean-to against left return. Large external chimney on left
half gable, tiled offsets: 3-light casement window with cambered
brick arch on right over opening to cellar. Timber-framed main
wing set back on right, 5-panel high to eaves, floor levels lower
than cross wing. Single-storey lean-to open porch with timber post
in angle, covering 4-pane window and boarded door up one stone
step. Four-paned casement on right; 2-light casement, under
weatherboard, iron opening light. First floor smaller 3-light
casement with cambered brick arch in gable, two 2-light and one 3-
light casements in main wing: gabled dormer over with 2-light
casement External painted stone chimney on right return gable,
brick top. Internally, ground floor, wide chamfer to ceiling beam
room on right, pyramid stops to chamfers rooms on left, beam in
rear room with wide, hollow chamfer. 1686 fireback in room on
right.
