Description


BIBURY THE GREEN, Arlington SP 1006-1106 (north side) 11/89 Baptist Church GV II Baptist church. Dated 1833. Coursed rubble limestone; Welsh slate roof. Simple rectangular building with hipped roof. Row of three 2-light triangular-headed windows to each long side. Two similar windows to each end, north-east end having central doorway with flat timber porch hood and double doors; central diagonal square light above. Similar fenestration to south west end except diagonal light replaced by similar shaped datestone. Simple interior has gallery at north east entrance end. Stained glass to windows at south west end. Later attached church rooms on south east side are not of pecial interest.
