SP 01 SW WITHINGTON -

7/158 Staple Farmhouse
GV II

Detached farmhouse. C18 (possibly incorporating an earlier house).
Coursed squared and dressed limestone, stone slate roof, stone
stacks, one ashlar, one C20. 'T'-shaped plan to main body with
extension to left gable end. 2 storeys and attic. Three-windowed
symmetrical facade; all 12-pane sashes, mostly with horns, plain
architraves with keystone. Central front door with plain
architrave with keystone. Two-light, flat-chamfered stone-
mullioned garret window in right gable end, similar window in gable
end of wing at rear. Single storey extension left of main body
with attic lit by C20 skylight. Two C20 single width doorway
openings with plain architraves and concrete lintels. Gable end
stacks to main body and extension. Former lower roofline to main
body visible in right gable end. Interior not inspected.
