14/215 Thomas Hooke monument, about 8m
north of main door in Congregational
Chest tomb. Hooke family, late C18. Limestone. Shallow tent
top, moulded capping, and bold moulded plinth with rounded corners.
Tripartite frieze, fluted Ionic corner columns (missing to south-
west and north-east at time of survey, October 1985), plain sides
and ends with inscriptions, Thomas 1779 to west; Charles 1814 to
south; William 1830 to north. 1,800 x 1,010mm, c.l,480mm high.
