BEVERSTON BEVERSTON VILLAGE
13/30 Barn approximately 70m east
of St. Mary's Church, at
Large barn. Probably C17. Thin coursed rubble stone with
alternating flush quoins, concrete tile roof with coped verges with
saddlestones. Large opposed central projecting cart entries, with
timber lintel, corrugated iron doors and square opening with timber
lintel in gable on south side, bricked up to north side. Two plain
buttresses on each side, marking bays, with square vents to each
bay. Gable ends have square pitch holes (blocked to east) with
slit vents over. Seven bays, arch braced collar trusses with 3
trenched purlins and largely renewed rafters. Outer 4 trusses have
strengthening braces across to principals below level of lowest
