SU 55 SE OAKLEY AND DEANE RECTORY ROAD
East Oakley House
C18, and 1910. Old north front of 2 storeys 4 windows, with forward projections at
each side of the later period. Slate roof, stucco walls with first-floor band, stone
cills, high plinth. Sashes in reveals, wide angular bay on the west side. Projecting
solid porch (1910) with a cornice (segmental centre) and bolection architrave. The
later period is represented by a north-south wing on the west side and a smaller wing
on the east; slate roofing with a moulded eaves cornice, and a series of 4 small
gables. The upper walling is rendered, the lower in red brick with short buttresses
and also pilasters. Ornamental brick stacks. Casements.
