GV II

Summerhouse. LaterCl9. Red brick with bands of flint nodules to front elevation;
Welsh slated roof with coped gable to front, plain gable to rear. Single storey,
3-bay front elevation, the bays marked by pinnacled buttresses, with similar square-
on-plan corner buttresses. Central bay has semi-circular arched doorway with plain
fanlight over door, part glazed with painted and etched glass in margins; plain
semi-circular arched windows to side bays. Side elevations have single pier in
mid-elevation terminating under eaves. Extending from both sides of building is
a cob wall rising to eaves level of summerhouse with pitched tile coping, which
returns back to Broadgate Farm House (qv) on north side. This building almost a
folly by nature, and both this and the wall add group value to both Farm House
and Barns (qv).
