C18 house, formerly of 2 storeys with fairly high pitched roof and dormer;
now altered to 3 storeys with lower pitched tiled roof. Plastered front.
2 windows, canted bays continuous through lower 2 storeys. Old central
door removed and C20 "gothic" window inserted. Weather-boarding introduced
below ground floor windows. Back of house much altered with huge plate
glass window on 2nd floor. Grading only retained because of group value.
Nos 24 and 25 The Square, Nos 2 to 26 (even) Sheep Street and Nos 2, 2A
and 4 The Spain form a group.
