5/7 Shepherds Mead

Cottage. C17 and early C19. Lower walls of old brickwork, the upper of brickwork
in Monk bond: the rear has exposed framing, with plaster above brick infill panels:
the south wall is ironstone with brick dressings (the upper part tile-hung).
1/2-hipped tile roof, 3 gabled dormers. Single-storeyed timber-framed house, raised
and re-clad at the later date: north-west front of 1 storey and attic, 3 windows.
Casements, 2 sashes. Boarded door in a plain frame, within a wide tiled canopy on
posts. Interior: the framework indicates the early single-storeyed form. Formerly
Pook Cottage.
