Inn, now museum. Late C18, altered C19, restored late C20 as museum.
Brick, rendered on exposed end, old plain tile roof. 2 storey 3 bay,
double pile with V-plan hipped roof, to rear C18 garden wall runs from
exposed end hiding C20 museum. Front elevation has C19 4-panel door under
thin 3-pane rectangular fanlight, over flat hood. To RH bay C19 canted
hip-roofed bay with glazing bars. To LH bay small flush frame 12-pane
segmental-head sash. On 1st floor central blind opening of blue headers
and stone table inscribed 'Jos Wort, 1774'. Each side 12-pane flush frame
sash. Roof hipped. Large stack on LH hip and tall external stack at RH
end. Inside ground floor altered to recreate inn scene of late C18.
