15/23 No 25 (Red Lion Public House)

Public House, the rest being No 25 (qv). C18 & C19 alterations and link over
carriageway. Rendered brick, old plain tile roof. 2 storey, 2 bay, double pile,
and C19 bay over carriageway to LH, and to RH No 23, the rest of the hostelry.
Between original bays top-glazed 4-Panel door in doorcase of panelled pilasters,
with roundel capitals and cut brackets supporting open pediment. Each side C19
wide 6-pane sash with slightly tented hood from sills of upper sashes which have
small upper sashes. Timber eaves frieze. To LH bay over entrance has angular bay
with 4-Pane sashes and flat roof. Higher ridge to this bay with stack between this
bay and rest.
