SZ 29 NE SWAY FLEXFORD LANE

13/15 Arnewood Court

GV II

Country house. Mid C19, altered and extended c1876 for ATT Peterson. Stuccoed
brick tower and possibly other additions of mass concrete, built in 'lifts'
all painted, slate roofs. Plan of 2 storey, 5 bay double span block at end
nearer road low 3 storey, 3 bay block with 2 bay wing behind, and at other end
4 storey tower. Front has tower at RH end. At LH end set-back range with
square-plan, flat roofed door in RH bay. 1st floor raised band. Cross-windows.
Main block has 4-pane sashes. Roof of smaller range low pitched and hipped with
stacks on each end of ridge. Larger block has steep pitched roof with large
stack at RH end. Tower of square-plan with pair of arched openings on top stage
and heavy cornice below low parapet.
