A range of low buildings, comprising two dwellings, including former shops. C16
timber frame, once separated from a C17 timber frame, with early C19 joining of
the parts, as well as rear extensions and recladding, with mostly late C19
features. Walls of painted brickwork, east side of blue headers with red quoins
and flat arch. Tile roof, the east end indicating its once separate origin as a
half-hipped roof with lower eaves (and now with two C20 hipped dormers). The
south front elevation shows a long low building of three sections; two-storeys
and one storey and attic, 2.1:2 windows. Victorian sashes and casements, two
small shopfronts with attached doorways. One plain door at the west side, a
carriage entrance in the middle, and side door to the east unit. At the west
end the wall masks a timber-frame jettied to two faces with a dragon beam (the
elevation to St Peter's Street exposing framing at a corner): at the east end
the former separate unit has framing exposed in the gables. The rear yard has
a variety of extensions and outshots, of diminutive scale, with walls of brick-
work and some boarding, and the roof brought to a low eaves in the middle part.
