4/217 George's Cottage

GV II

Cottage. Probably 018 with C19 alterations. Sandstone rubble plinth,
timber-framed with brick infill, raised slate roof, stone end stack with
apsidal bread oven and brick shaft. Two bays aligned roughly east/west.
Cellar under east bay, two storeys. North elevation: one window, 4-pane
early C20 window to ground floor left and one to first floor left of centre.
Frame is four panels high from plinth to original wall-plate and has been
raised a further half panel. Entry in central gabled tiled early C20 porch
to south side.
