2/95 Gunter headstone approximately
10 m south of Chancel of
Church of St Deinst

GV II


Headstone. Mid-C18. Sandstone. Central winged cherub's head flanked by
further heads with lace-edged collars, central open book motif below with
scrolled cartouche and convex inscription panel. Inscription largely
illegible, apart from the date, 1757. A fine example of local craftsman-
ship in a churchyard with numerous excellent memorials.
